The design
The wave is a nod to Hokusai's The Great Wave off Kanagawa, the famous woodblock print from the 1830s. The koi brings its own story: in Japanese legend, a koi that swims up a waterfall becomes a dragon, so it stands for perseverance. The black fade gives both a moody, dusk-like backdrop.
